Spice market update: pepper prices follow downward trend

GUJARAT. Weekly monitoring with the latest market information from India on cumin, coriander and turmeric, chilli, black pepper and cardamom as well as a price list for more than 70 products.

Cumin

Demand for cumin has increased, leading to a slight upswing in prices. Futures on the Indian online commodities and derivatives exchange NCDEX, however, are trading lower. Market players expect prices to hold steady in the coming weeks, and good demand and easing of coronavirus measures in India may even lead to further slight increases. Grade A cumin costs USD 1,954/mt FOB India this week.
