GUJARAT. Weekly monitoring with the latest market information from India on cumin, coriander and turmeric, chilli, black pepper and cardamom as well as a price list for more than 70 products.

Cumin

Farmers are currently busy sowing cumin, which is why arrivals at the markets continue to decline. Analysts expect that both export and domestic demand should increase soon; while increased buying interest from hotels and restaurants is expected domestically, exporters expect shipments to the US and Europe in particular to increase. Some market players even expect exports to rise by 15-20% compared to last year. Prices for grade A cumin have seen a minimal increase and are currently at USD 1,940/mt FOB India.
