Spice market update: coriander crop shows better quality

GUJARAT. Weekly monitoring with the latest market information from India on cumin, coriander and turmeric, chilli, black pepper and cardamom as well as a price list for more than 70 products.

Cumin

Indian traders indicate that the 2020 cumin crop may reach 475,000 mt, with overstock supplies of 100,000 mt also being reported. Between March and December 2020, the country exported around 175,000 mt, with China, Egypt and Bangladesh as the main buying countries. Due to continued weak demand and the large crop volume, prices remained relatively weak throughout the year.
