Cumin

Recurring lockdowns due to rising new coronavirus infections and hardly any buying interest on the spot market are causing difficulties for market players. Exports are also rather poor, due to strict border controls. Nevertheless, there is demand from the USA and Europe. Availability on the markets is good thanks to steady arrivals, but farmers expect this year's crop to be smaller than in 2020. The same applies to the crops of export competitors Turkey and Syria.
