Butter: Unpredictable market

FRANKFURT. Market players in Germany are becoming increasingly exasperated. Problem is that the market is becoming more and more unpredictable.

Good Easter sales

Experts and traders cannot currently determine any market trends for butter as no one knows in which way the market will develop. The only certain thing the dairies are reporting is that the milk arrivals are currently below expectations, which is due to the dry weather. There are also reports that Germany will be confronted will another hot and very dry summer. The retailers are satisfied with the Easter sales for packet butter. This may, however, change over the next few weeks as there are many public holidays which render it impossible to determ
