Football partly impacts butter market

Table butter sales are going well in Germany, despite the summer holidays starting in many parts of the country. The European Football Championship partly accounts for this. Quotations range at EUR 6.20-6.70/kg (USD 6.63-7.17/kg) at the Southern German Butter and Cheese Exchange in Kempten. Milk arrivals have reached a seasonal low with the current hot weather further slowing things down. Demand has improved for cream and prices have firmed.
