Walnuts: production exceeds expectations

SACRAMENTO/SANTIAGO. California Walnuts confirms that production ranges higher than anticipated.

Less than in the previous year

US in-shell production has exceeds official estimates and currently ranges at 580,000 metric tonnes. Market players reckon that total production may reach 581,000-585,000 metric tonnes. Production, nevertheless, falls short of last year.
