Cumin

Suppliers on the Indian cumin market are in despair, as there seems to be no end to the price decreases in sight. Compared to last week, prices have once again fallen noticeably, which is partly due to the high level of deliveries; it is estimated that arrivals on the markets could exceed 1.1 million bags this season. As cumin prices were very high last year, farmers had greatly expanded the acreage - this is now having a noticeable effect and pushing prices down further and further. Market experts reckon that the declines will continue at least through April
