Cumin

Cumin prices have been on a steady upward trend over the past week and market players expect the prospect of a smaller crop to lead to further increases. At 836,925 ha, the area under cultivation is significantly smaller than last year (1,239,030 ha) and market players expect the crop to be 20-30% smaller. Furthermore, adverse weather conditions are reported in Rajasthan, which could have an additional negative impact.
