Cumin

Indian cumin prices are still on an upward trend. According to market players, some large stockists are spreading the news that low-quality goods will soon arrive on the markets, which drives prices up. Meanwhile, there are conflicting reports from Gujarat; the goods currently arriving here are said to be of good quality. In Rajasthan, the new crop is expected to arrive in about a month. Export demand for high quality cumin is high and traders are currently making good profits. Grade A cumin is trading at USD 2,950/mt FOB India this week.
