Cumin

After cumin prices had fallen slightly last week, there were now significant increases. Farmers had cut back on the amount of arrivals, pushing prices up due to reduced availability. The market in Unjha alone reported a drop of almost 50%. Both domestic and export demand continues to be weak, with China importing a relatively large quantity of Indian cumin as the domestic crop has been low due to the heat wave.
