Cumin has depreciated by more than 7-8% in the past month and by as much as 35-40% since the start of the year. Several factors are preventing a turnaround. Recent political upheavals and deadly protests have, for instance, completely dilapidated trade with Bangladesh, which purchased around 20-25 trucks of mediocre grade cumin per week.
