Spice market update: rainfalls delay coriander deliveries

GUJARAT. Weekly monitoring with the latest market information from India on cumin, coriander and turmeric, chilli, black pepper and cardamom as well as a price list for more than 70 products.

Cumin

Despite increased arrivals, prices are holding steady and remain at USD 2,055/mt FOB India for grade A cumin. Demand remains relatively low as exporters consider prices too high. Market players therefore do not expect noticeable price changes in the next few days and futures also remain almost unchanged. Demand in the domestic market is being pushed by the upcoming Diwali festival, while buying interest from overseas is almost non-existent due to high freight costs.
