GUJARAT. Weekly monitoring with the latest market information from India on cumin, coriander and turmeric, chilli, black pepper and cardamom as well as a price list for more than 70 products.

Cumin

A high demand for exports and low supplies are driving up prices. Currently, traders are selling carry-over stocks of the old crop. The new crop is delayed and is expected to arrive in late January or early February. No price reductions are expected before their arrival. Grade A cumin is currently trading at USD 2,280 per metric tonne.

Coriander seeds

Prices have declined noticeably. Coriander, Eagle 5% Split costs USD 950 per metric tonne, which is USD 40.00 less than last week. Market players cit
