The new crop is increasingly arriving on the markets and even though some market players are complaining about discolouration, traders are busy stocking up on the new goods, so that prices have climbed by USD 10/mt compared to last week and are currently at USD 2,840/mt FOB India. The prospect of a crop up to 25% smaller than last year is prompting buyers to strike now.
