GUJARAT. Weekly monitoring with the latest market information from India on cumin, coriander and turmeric, chilli, black pepper and cardamom as well as a price list for more than 70 products.

Cumin

Prices on the Indian cumin market are still on a downward trend and are now as low as they were last in February 2023. Arrivals at the markets in Gujarat are extremely high at around 50,000 bags per day; half of the goods are said to come from growers and the other half from old crop stocks. This suggests that stockists also have little hope of price increases. Market analysts have predicted in public videos that prices could hit another low in the next three to four weeks as arrivals are expected to continue to increase.
