Spice market update: cumin traders hope for stronger demand

Cumin

Indian cumin prices have declined once again, but suppliers are hoping for support in the coming weeks. First and foremost, they are pinning their hopes on the Gulfood trade fair, which takes place in Dubai from 17 to 21 February. As prices are currently so low, they are hoping that international customers will buy in large quantities. Stockists also need to increase their stocks in order to fulfil their contracts. As there is very little room for further price reductions, experts are expecting increased buying. Grade A cumin is currently trading at USD 2,900/
