Cumin has taken an absolutely mind-boggling turn in the past weeks as prices spiralled out of reach for small and medium-sized businesses. Fortunately, a minor downturn has been reported this week with A grade cumin, 99% purity, trading at USD 6,030/mt FOB India. China is, however, preventing further decreases. Not only has the country purchased massive quantities in the past two weeks but continues buying. The market anticipates that China will buy nearly 150-200 containers in the next two weeks.
