GUJARAT. Weekly monitoring with the latest market information from India on cumin, coriander and turmeric, chilli, black pepper and cardamom as well as a price list for more than 70 products.

Cumin

Demand in the Indian cumin market has been good due to the recent holidays and prices have continued to rise. The higher price level is prompting more growers to offer their stocks. Market players expect the market to remain firm for the time being. Total production for the 2021/22 season is expected to be 391,801 mt, which would represent a decline of almost 60,000 mt from the 451,451 mt of the last season. The smaller crop is also expected to ensure stable prices. Grade A cumin currently costs USD 2,135/mt FOB India.
