Spice market update: coriander market experiences ups and downs

GUJARAT. Weekly monitoring with the latest market information from India on cumin, coriander and turmeric, chilli, black pepper and cardamom as well as a price list for more than 70 products.

Cumin

Most markets in India have resumed day-to-day business after earlier pandemic-related closures. Arrivals are good, although there is still a shortage of labour in some areas, which is slowing trading activity a little. Market players report satisfactory demand, especially buying interest from Turkey, the Gulf states and China is high. Prices for grade A cumin are unchanged from last week at USD 2,060/mt FOB India, but traders expect prices to increase in the coming days.
