Currently, less goods are available on the local markets, but prices have nevertheless fallen despite constant demand. This is due to the considerable increase in the areas under cultivation in Gujarat and Rajasthan and the favourable weather conditions, which give the traders hope for a very good crop. It is estimated that crop yields could increase by up to 25% compared to last season. Prices for grade A cumin are currently at USD 2,110 per metric tonne, which is USD 165 per metric tonne below last week's prices.
