Cumin

With slightly declining prices, the cumin market is following the trend of the past weeks. In the provinces of Rajasthan and Gujarat the sowing was increased by 40% and 16% respectively, so that a large crop volume is to be expected. In conjunction with aspects such as the spread of the coronavirus, exchange rate fluctuations and weak export demand, sufficient supply is causing prices to fall further. Grade A cumin is currently trading at USD 1,870 per metric tonne.
