TEHRAN. The arrival of the new crop has heavily impacted the market. Prices have...

... declined by as much as EUR 50 per kg over the last two weeks. Subdued demand had already prompted prices to fall in the weeks preceding the harvest. A considerable rise in production will cause this trend to continue. Reports state that acreage amounts to as much as 114,000 hectares and the production ranges at 500 metric tonnes. This is a 20% increase over last year.
