Turmeric
Forecasts of better weather in the south of India have enhanced expectations of a higher production. There are, in addition, more arrivals in the physical market and export demand has failed to pick up over the last few months. Prospects for anyone interested in purchasing turmeric could therefore hardly seem any better. Unfortunately, however, upcountry demand is expected to pick up over the festival season, which may support prices.

Cumin
Although demand is stable, the stockiest are desperately trying to sell their products. This is because a better crop is expected next year, which will certainly pressurize market sentiments. Reports of good sowing in Gujarat and Rajasthan are adding fuel to the fire.
