Administrative Committee for Pistachios *since the beginning of the season

Carry-over stocks amount to more than 70.000 mt

The Administrative Committee for Pistachios estimates that US supplies still amounted to 132,750 mt at th eend of June. Even if 50,000-60,000 mt of US pistachios should be shipped within the next two months before the new season starts, the remaining carry-over stocks of 72,500-82,500 mt would at least be 50% larger than last year. The current season started off with carry-overs of 47,500 mt, which were then supplemented by a record crop of 450,000 mt. Nearly 0.5 million mt of US pistachios were available. This year's production will most certainly be smaller in size.
