ATLANTA. In the USA, traders are very satisfied with the demand situation. Even though shipments to some countries declined, China was able to compensate.

Chinese buyers are back

There is good news from the US pecan market, both in terms of exports and domestic consumption. Consumption within the country rose by 32% between September 2020 and April 2021, while exports climbed by 15%. Total deliveries are thus a good quarter higher than in the corresponding period of the previous season and amount to around 97,828 mt, of which 58,393 mt are accounted for by domestic deliveries and 39,435 mt by exports.
