Macadamias: Global production to increase by 10%

CANBERRA/BRUSSELS Australian macadamia suppliers recorded a significant increase in domestic deliveries over the 2017/18 season (April until March); their export figures for the same period are less impressive.

 

South African farmers return to form

The current report of the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council (INC) expects global production to increase by 10% in 2018, as compared to last year. This would be the sixth consecutive year of growth. After years of drought, South African farmers once again realised a significant production increase of 21%.
