ORDU. With the TMO intending to sell a large volume and the farmers being reluctant to sell available supplies could well become limited this season.

 

Limited supplies

The farmers are reluctant to sell, which is pushing up the farmgate prices, even though demand is currently limited. Raw nuts are currently trading on a level of 13.50-15.59 TRY/kg and further price rises are deemed highly probable, especially if demand is to recover over the next few weeks. Traders reckon that ca. 100,000 mt of in shells still need to be purchased for exports.
