Zagatala-Azerbaijan. Even though harvesting period is already started in Turkey, the most of exporters still refrain from new crop offers till announcement of TMO's purchase price in 2018. 

 Meantime in Turkish Press actively appearing expert opinions where staying the importance of fixing price to USD, as it is in Azerbaijan for a long time. It was mentioned in interview with board member of FIskobirlik, Lutfi Bayraktar - "The price of hazelnut in shell should be 3 USD. This is optimum price for buyers and sellers."  (source). All another sources expecting price range between 14-15 TRY ( 2.64-2.83 USD).  

Since the main harvest in Azerbaijan starting in September, exporters actively offering current crop for processors. To remind you, fresh kernels are not suitable for roasting and blanching since blanching coefficient is very low in compare to the current crop.

Today, Azerbaijan offering followings:

11/13 mm natural hazelnut kernels at the price 5,60 $/kg DAP Europe,
13/15 mm natural hazelnut kernels at the price 5,70 $/kg DAP Europe.
