ORDU. Although trading activities were largely subdued in Turkey last week, the was a notable shift in prices. Ferrero has repsonded to the current marekt situation. In addition, the current political situation may have an enormous impact on the market.

Ferrero's pruchasing prices has gone up again has again and has now reached TRY 15.75 per kg, which is similar to the prices the TMO is offering. This has made it more interesting again for prodcuer to sell to the free market. The TMO is said to have pruchased 80,000 metroc tonnes so far. Total purchases are expected to range at 100,000-120,000 metric tonnes. Although this is much less than previously expected, the volmes are still enough for the TMO to control the market.
