Hazelnuts: Ferrero raises bid prices

ORDU. Ferrero increased its bid for Turkish hazelnuts last week. Market players however doubt the statements of the market leader about its coverage.

How much does Ferrero need?

According to its own statement, the demand deficit will amount to just 18,000 metric tonnes. Market players, however, reckon that this would only be the case if Ferrero were to purchase all the quantities of the TMO (currently about 80,000 metric tonnes). According to their assessments, Ferrero still needs around 80,000 metric tonnes of hazelnuts for this season.
