ORDU. The export demand for Turkish hazelnuts is showing no signs of abating. Meanwhile exporters of shelled hazelnuts are offering prices that are higher than those of the market leader.

Ferrero is not competitive
Hazelnut exporters, who were not prepared for a rise in prices, are now closing open positions as a precaution. At a price of 19TRY/kg for hazelnut kernels, natural, 11-13mm, their offers are slightly higher than Ferrero’s. In order to remain competitive, Ferrero would have to adjust prices (currently 18.95 TRY / kg) upwards. However, a temporary suspension is also conceivable.
