ORDU. According to traders, the current price development in Turkey is to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Prices retreat again

Despite good export figures, prices have rather been trending downwards. Although ca. 5,500 mt of hazelnuts were shipped last week, prices have dropped. The exporters have sufficient stocks and can therefore make relatively favourable offers. In addition, despite booming exports, they are not forced to stock up on new hazelnuts. Farmgate prices have, therefore, dropped again.
