ORDU. Some market players are voicing doubts regarding the crop estimates for 2018/19, which were announced last week during the International Nut and Dried Fruit Congress (INC).

Little variation in price
The prices for hazelnut kernels, natural, 11-13 mm have settled at approximately 4.50 EUR/kg DDP Germany. Due to the loss in value of the Turkish lira, the probability for political influencing increases. Farmgate prices may also become more stable. In the case of a stabilisation of the exchange rate, buyers from abroad will have to prepare for increasing prices.
