Hazelnuts: New crop price indications

ORDU. The harvest is in full swing in Turkey’s coastal areas and has also started in higher regions. Yields are set to improve.

 

Subdued demand

Although the yields are so far no match to last year, they should improve once the harvest takes up speed in the higher parts of the country. The holiday season is not the time for big purchases, which is why demand is rather lacklustre. The weather is also deterring buyers with hot the hot temperatures prompting consumers to desist from purchasing chocolate products that contain nuts.
