ORDU. Since many farmers have already sold their hazelnuts, supply have risen sharply in Turkey.

Farmers return home

With the beginning of the new school year many farmers have returned to their homes as they only spend time at the Black Sea coast for the harvest in summer. Most farmers therefore prefer no to spend too much time marketing and selling their hazelnuts and have sold their products as soon as drying had been completed. This led to a sharp increase in supplies last week, which also impacted prices.
