Hazelnuts: Critically large volumes still to be purchased

ORDU. Estimates state that some large buyers are not yet covered until the arrival of the new crop. At the same time, the farmers are holding back their raw nuts.

 

Buyers benefit from exchange rate fluctuations

Last week, the Turkish lira declined in value again and has now reached a ten-week low. Export prices for whole hazelnut kernels have remained stable, despite the increase in farmgate prices. Traders have, however, increased the prices for preparations significantly.
