Hazelnuts: Correction of prices and crop prospects

ORDU. In the Turkish hazelnut market there were significant price corrections. However, this is only partly due to the sales of TMO goods. Much more decisive is the current exchange rate.

Uneven price picture
While there is not much export demand from foreign buyers, the Turkish domestic market is showing lively interest in TMO raw nuts. The additional quantities only slightly depress raw material prices. The renewed slump of the Turkish lira at the end of last week, on the other hand, has led to significantly lower export prices compared to the previous week. In addition, the suppliers' offers can vary greatly due to the different raw material qualities in the market.
