Hazelnuts: No bonuses

ORDU. The TMO started buying on Thursday. Although a bonus of 2 TRY/kg was initially intended, the farmers now have to bid farewell to this idea.

 

Price rise lower than expected

After the announcement that the TMO would conduct purchases from the farmers for up to 16.50 TRY/kg, the hazelnut market remained surprisingly calm. No panic purchases ensued. Only a few traders reacted with defensive prices, the rest decided to wait and see.

The reports about 2 TRY/kg special bonuses for registered sales to the TMO could not be confirmed so far, which is why the farmers have to content with a bidding price of 14.00-14.50 TRY/kg from the government. The TMO has received applications for 3,000 mt
