Cumin: talks to resume

TEHRAN. As talks over Iran’s nuclear deal will resume cautious hopes are being rekindled that sanctions may eventually be lifted. This would spell good news for the cumin market. Exports have declined sharply.

Cautious hopes

After meeting Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security, in Tehran on Saturday Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated that “we are prepared to resume talks in the coming days,” as news agencies report. While Borrell emphasised the importance of resuming indirect talks between Iran and the United States very soon, he also cautioned that it will take time for a deal to be reached.
