DODOMA/NEW DELHI. The government in Tanzania was desperately looking for RCN buyers. Now, a small company from Kenya has answered this call.

Buyer from Kenya purchases 100,000 mt

After the government realised that the local processing capacities were far from sufficient to process the 2017/18 crop domestically, Tanzania started to look for overseas buyers. More than 200,000 mt of RCN were up for sale.

At the end of January, the first contracts were signed between the Cereals and Other Produce Board and Indo Power Solutions Ltd from Kenya.
