Brazil nuts: Germany cuts imports by a third

SUCRE. Production may decline by as much as 25% in the main producing countries in 2019/2020. Last year, the market already had to recover from a decline in production.

66,000 metric tonnes in Bolivia

The International Nut and Dried Fruit Council (INC), estimates that Bolivia will produce as little as 66,000 metric tonnes in 2019/2020. In Peru and Brazil, prodcution is also expected to decline to 13,500 mt and 6,600 mt respectively. With a total estimate of 86,100 metric tonnes, this year's production is set to decline by 25% in these three countries.
