Almonds: A year of success for Spain

MADRID/SACRAMENTO. The Ministry of Agriculture in Spain has revised its production estimates for 2018.

Revised estimates

With the initial production estimate ranging at 303,862 mt of in shells, it was clear that production increased well over 2017 (230,591 mt). Now the Ministry of Agriculture has revised its production estimates upwards. Around 317,349 mt are said to have been harvested in 2018, a 37.6% rise over 2017.
