... not only continued to consolidate but have drastically increased. The prices for Marcona almonds have even risen by as much as 0.20 EUR/kg since last week. Market players, however, reckon that speculators are to blame for the sudden hike and that there will be a correction soon. Some buyers, who purchased cheap almonds, are now asking much higher prices.

The US crop has now been completed and production is estimated at 1.04-1.11 million mt almonds without shell. The nonpareil crop was not as productive as expected. The almonds are currently being processed or expo
