Almonds: Traders are intent on selling

MADRID/SACRAMENTO. Almond suppliers have caused quite a surprise this week by lowering most prices for Spanish as well as Californian (processed) almonds.

 

Lower prices in Spain
Even though the Spanish cultivation regions might be facing frost again this week, Spanish suppliers have lowered their prices for domestic products by up to 0.30 EUR/kg.

Valencia almonds are currently offered for as much as 0.10 EUR/kg lower than last week. Prices for Ramillete almonds, blanched, >14 mm even dropped by 0.30 EUR/kg over the course of last week; Largueta almonds, natural are also offered 0.20–0.30 EUR/kg cheaper.
