MADRID. Production in California is to fall short of expectations. In how far the decrease in production will spur demand for Spanish almonds is, however, to be questioned.

Export prices go down again

Production is to fall short the previously expected 1.11 million mt. Traders in Spain believe that this development will have a positive effect on the prices for Spanish almonds.

Over the last few weeks, the Spanish almond market has been in high season. Some suppliers have not been able to process as much as customers have ordered. Now demand is declining, and the export prices are much lower than last week.
