Almonds: shift in spot market prices

...can be estimated at 1.27 million metric tonnes. The Almond Board of California states that around 33,693 metric tonnes of almonds had not been contracted by the end of February, which is a 10% rise over last year.

 As much as 668,415 metric tonnes of shelled and unshelled almonds have been shipped since that start of the season, which is around 5% more than last year. US shipments range at 196,443 metric tonnes (+2%) and overseas shipments at 471,972 metric tonnes (+6%). February exports have also risen by 7% to 62,334 metric tonnes.
