MADRID/SACRAMENTO. Suppliers in Spain have started shipping the new crop, which has an impact on prices. Trading activities have, in addition, resumed in Reus. The market is anticipating the arrival of the new crop from the US.

The export season begins

Valencia and Marcona have arrived for sale in the market and the prices for these two varieties have declined in Spain. Contary to this, Largueta almonds are still trading in the same range as last week. Shipments are expected to start in mid-September. The agricultural media in Spain reports that the prices in the local spot markets of Murcia and Albacete have declined significantly. Trading has, in addition, resumed in Reus.
