Almonds: Larguetas up to 50 cents more expensive

MADRID. These weeks, the Spanish almond market is characterised by uncertainty, and the price developments of the different varieties could barely be more disparate.

 

Up and down
The news coming from the Spanish almond market this week is certainly not as exciting as the previous weeks, after power struggles between the farmers and traders equally influenced the market as the reports on smaller crops in Andalusia. The Spanish crop should amount to around 52,000–53,000 mt, which falls short of the previously expected 56,000–57,000 mt.
