MADRID/SACRAMENTO. Market players are expecting an increase in global production, with Spain and California being just two examples where crop estimates are positive.

Price corrections
The rapid increase in the price of Spanish almonds over the past few weeks has been partly adjusted downwards by traders, with offers sitting at 0.10-0.20 EUR/kg lower than they were last week.

Conversely, prices for US almonds have tended to be mixed, with offers ranging from +0.05 to -0.10 EUR/kg as compared to last week. Almond preparations are even up to 0.20 EUR/kg cheaper than last week.
